Numa Pompilio

Argentina.

I am Numa Maurette, an Argentinean living in Barcelona. The Pompilio Plants project started in 2015 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and I have recently bought it to Barcelona. Pompilio Plants combines ceramics and plants. The project was born from the love I have always felt for plants. Because I was grown up in a place surrounded by nature, I am deeply sensitive about it. Due to my attraction of working with my hands organic materials, and feeling connected with nature, I started to work with clay, which matches perfectly with my fondness of plants. The Pompilio’s distinctive feature is that each ceramic is unique thanks to the handmade and painted sides. Furthermore, succulent plants such as the cactus, the majority of times, create the final look.
